"The Great American Wrongbook"
"Brownman and his hard-swinging NYC style trio will interpret and rework Great American Songbook jazz classics in modern eclectic fashion.  You'll hear Cole Porter played in 13... Gershwin if he were Cuban... Duke Ellington as a funk musician... Mancini gone mad... and Mercer begging for mercy.  These classic composers will either turn in their graves, or leap up and applaude - you be the judge.   2 nights at the Red Guitar Arthouse.  Feel free to burn something in effigy.  Accompanying award-winning Trinidadian born, NYC schooled trumpeter Nick "Brownman" Ali will be maniac drummer from the Shuffle Demons Stich Wynston - and the Composer's Workshop's own suitably demented Scott Peterson."

CRUZAO RETURNS TO HAVANA - DEC 2005!
In Dec 2004 - Nick Ali & CRUZAO was invited to represent Canada

@ Havana Jazz Festival, Cuba
In previous years CRUZAO has dazzled international audiences with their fiery
sounds, leading to last year's participation in the Havana Jazz Festival as a headlining artist.
Brownman would subsequently asked by Chucho Valdes himself to
perform with the legendary IRAKERE as a special guest soloist.  Footage from this ground-breaking performance will be
up on brownman.com soon.  A proud moment for Canada.
They have been asked to return again this Dec 2005!
